Good times had by all at the Graylake Underwater Cleanup 2014

Fun At The Grayslake Underwater Cleanup 2014

What an opportunity!  The Toucan Flock gathered, and helped the local environment for an underwater cleanup on Saturday, June 7. About 30 divers lent their time and energy to help in underwater cleanup of Grayslake, Jones Island Park. There was diving, pizza from Papa Johns, and swag that was given out these bunch of salty divers for assisting in the event.  The underwater cleanup was sponsored by the Grayslake Community Park District, as well as the local businesses of the area.

Underwater Cleanup – Swag Of The Deep

Although denied the drybag with the treasure chest of cash that was placed several years ago – and never found – one of our divers, Jim Koutsoures, brought up an heirloom to hold on to. He found a brass milk container from the late 1800s. Check out the fun photos of the event as well as the heirloom!  Hope to see you next year!
