Cayman Brac Toucan Divers with turtleWhat Is A Cayman Brac Dive Attack

Cayman Brac Attack 2017 is an incredible opportunity for divers to enjoy  Cayman’s outer reef systems and land sanctuary.  Outdoor lovers, the world over, come hike along its magnificent trails.  The diving is a major draw that keeps divers coming back year after year.  Toucan Dive will need to attack this island with relish, as we thrust ourselves into a week of fun and relaxation!

The Diving

Cayman Brac has awesome reef, wall and wreck dive locations, including the “Captain Keith Tibbetts”.  The “Captain Keith Tibbits” is a Russian destroyer that was scuttled in 1996 as an artificial reef system for divers to enjoy.  There are also 28 moorings on the shallow sites, and 25 moorings on wall dives on Cayman Brac.  So there are plenty of dive sites for Toucan Divers to enjoy.  Be prepared to see plenty of coral heads and lots of fish life.  There are plenty of schools of silver sides, yellow tails, jacks and blue tangs.  Turtles, stingrays, and eagle rays cruise along the walls and in the spur and groove coral formations that exist along this amazing reef system.

Land Attractions

For those divers off gassing, and those looking for land activities, much can be found in Cayman Brac.  For example, Beautiful bluffs with a picturesque light house make for a wonderful photo op.  Furthermore, there are caves and sinkholes to explore including Rebecca’s Cave.  Lush forests are home to over 200 species of birds, including brown boobies, frigate birds and falcons.  Included on the island, is a 180 acre parrot reserve which hosts the endangered brac parrot.  Trails intersect along the island leading to historic land sites and reptile habitats.

The Brac Reef Resort

The Brac Reef Resort resides along 1000 ft of beautiful, sandy beach.  The 40 rooms are casual, and informal with a tropical motif.  It caters primarily to divers and snorkelers.  The Coral Gardens Restaurant provides buffett style meals that can be provided in either an indoor, air condition setting or alfresco.  The Tipsy Turtle poolside bar along the beach, is available to divers after a good hard day of diving.
