What’s a “Dive Your Share” Dive Trip
The Bonaire “Dive Your Share” Tour 2016 starts on June 4th through June 11th, 2016. This small island off the coast of Venezuela is part of the Dutch Antilles. It is also known as one of the ABC Islands. These islands are Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao. Bonaire is considered one of the best islands for scuba diving and snorkeling in all the Caribbean…and you can join us this coming summer. The whole idea about dive your share, is that so many dive operations only give you one or two dives per day. Due to the fact everyone in our group will have access to a vehicle, we can dive as much as we want, 24 hours a day. That’s getting in your share of diving.
Bonaire – What kind Of An Island?
The island of Bonaire, due to its location to the equator is very arid. It’s not unusual to drive around the island, seeing all the cactus, and thinking you’re in Arizona. The rolling hills are a fitting backdrop to the beauty of the aqua marine water dropping off into the cobalt blue, just off the shore. Iguanas and other lizards migrate to the warm sand and gravel during the daylight hours to warm themselves.
There is a lot of history on the island, and interesting things to see. One can tour the old slave huts, that go back to the slavery era of the 1800’s. The flamingos gather in large flocks on the south side of the island, near the salt beds. Though most of the diving is done on the lea side of the island, much of the island is the home to many sailboarders and windboarders. Due to these opened, and uninhibited areas of coastline, the winds can assist these folks to achieve their extreme activities, and a lot of fun to watch.
Bonaire – Snorkeling And Diving
The Bonaire “Dive Your Share” Tour is going to expose you to some of the best diving the Caribbean has to offer. Bonaire was the first island in the Caribbean to set a portion of coast line as a marine sanctuary. It is here where coral, fish and animal life can thrive, without being molested by commercial fishing, and some of our more aggressive divers. Some of the best diving and snorkeling is within a short walk from the sandy shore. Some of Bonaire’s dive sites are a must do. Sites like the Hilma Hooker, The Thousand Steps, Buddy’s Reef, Klein Bonaire, and the Salt Pier are just incredible! So many dive sites, and so little time! Check it other sites here… Plan on seeing turtles, stingrays, eagle rays and more. In particular, keep your eyes peered for the small, but delicate seahorses that make Bonaire their home.
