SDI Solo Diver CourseSDI Solo Diver Course Start In August

SDI’s Solo Diving is the practice of self reliant scuba diving without a “dive buddy”.  Divers can find themselves alone during a dive.  This can happen intentionally or not. Solo diving, was once considered technical diving.  Though this was discouraged by most certification agencies then, it is now seen by many experienced divers and some certification agencies, as an acceptable practice.  The importance for those divers to be suitably trained and experienced is critical. Rather than relying on the traditional buddy diving safety system, solo divers should be skilled in self-sufficiency.  Responsibility for your own safety while diving is an important variable in the course!

SDI Solo Diver Course is one of SDI’s most popular courses.  The solo diver program teaches experienced recreational divers how to safely dive independently of a dive buddy!   Independent dive skills will be developed during the tenure of the course.   The course stresses  proper dive planning, personal limitations, and accident prevention.  You will learn the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for diving solo.  Additional equipment that is required for solo diving will be covered as well.  This will include its proper usage and assembly.  Underwater photography and underwater video divers will truly appreciate this type of training.  The SDI Solo Course will also help those diving with their children or buddies that may not very experienced in scuba diving.
