Mission Tech Dive Event
Mission Tech is a tech dive event by TDI/SDI designed to provide an opportunity for all divers, regardless of certification level, to try out the latest and coolest tech equipment. Many Tech manufacturers will be at Haigh Quarry this July 22nd. They will work with technical training professionals to ensure your experience is nothing short of amazing! Ever dive a rebreather? You will be able to try it out here! Sidemount diving? Yep! You can try it at this event. We can even show you how to properly blow and send up a liftbag. Mission Tech is going to be THE PLACE TO BE!
Mission Tech – Only 1 Location In The Midwest!
This incredible opportunity will be only at 4 destinations this year. For divers in the Midwest, there is good news! This fantastic experience of having one of these events at Haigh Quarry in Kankakee is fortunate and lucky for all of our Midwest divers. This one day ultimate Dive Demo event will be packed with real tech diving instructors, and tech divers. The best equipment manufacturers in the diving industry will be on hand to answer your questions. You will also be given the opportunity to actually dive this awesome tech gear!
Saturday, July 22nd, 2017 – Schedule Of Events
(There will be a signup sheet at Toucan Dive. Please register in advance!)
| 7:00 am | Event Staff arrives at dive site to set up and get Staff Briefing. |
| 7:30 am | Welcome/Introductions & Paperwork – Fill out all required paperwork and return to TDI representative for review. Wrist bands are given once all paperwork is complete. |
| 8:00 am | Discuss the day’s events and introduce manufacturers. Promotion of Mission Tech in Cayman and DEMA Tech Party. |
| Equipment Setup and “Get Ready Time”- participants should coordinate with manufacturers on equipment they would like to try. This time can be used to fix any paperwork issues as well as brief the volunteers of their specific duties. | |
| Participants can dive as soon as manufacturers/training staff have prepared them or are ready to dive with them. | |
| 7:00 pm | Diving is completed. Thank you to all participants and manufacturers. Reminder and promotion of: Haigh Quarry, Mission Tech in Cayman and DEMA Tech Party. Event surveys given to participants. |
