Nassau Diving Incredible FunThe Adventure Begins

Nassau diving, and the overall nature of our excursion to the Bahamas, really helped Toucan Divers implement the proper strategy to be successful in finishing 3 days of intense diving.  Four dives, with the night dive on Friday, two reef dives, and two shark dives on Saturday, and wrapping up Sunday with two final dives.  There was barely time to eat and sleep!  With Stuart Coves providing free enriched air for all certified nitrox divers, it helped support us in our time of need.

Nassau Diving

Of all the islands of the Bahamas that I have been diving on for years, including Bimini, Freeport and the Exumas, I have never found a more diver friendly area than Nassau.  Stuart Coves Dive Adventures really put on a great show for us.  It is a fantastic dive operation, with great staff support, and dive masters that made our orientation easy, for all of us to get on the boat, and get set up for the fun.  Nassau has some great reefs, with spectacular walls that drop off to infinity.  Being along the Gulf Stream, fresh swarms of new fish arrive as if by magic.  Schools of grouper, yellow tail snapper, and grunts abound.  Pelagic animals of every kind inhabit the reefs of Nassau, such as barracuda, sharks, turtles and rays.  The Saturday shark feed with 40 Caribbean reef sharks worked up in a frenzy, was the crown jewel of all our dives.  Wrecks were on just about every dive, including those from previous movie sets from James Bond.  Their rusting hulls lay listing on the reefs ready to be investigated.  Our distance from shore to the reefs were never more than ten minutes.  I would truly call Nassau a divers’ paradise.  I know our group of twenty-one divers are ready to go back!  Hopefully, you can  join us on our next outing.  Check out the gallery and the videos below:
