Lake Michigan Wreck DiverWreck Diving Lake Michigan

Lake Michigan wrecks are so close, that to not take advantage of the wreck diving opportunities we have nearby, would be a crime.  There are so many wrecks off our coast, divers of all experience levels can enjoy these great wrecks.  Some of the wreck sites are but fifteen minutes away by boat.  Some of our wreck sites can be day trips up to Milwaukee, and also, down of the coast to Chicago.  With some of these wrecks, there is great drama and loss of life, such as the wreck of the Lady Elgin, and the Seabird.  Others, such as the steamship,  SS Wisconsin, and the SS Milwaukee, a train ferry, show how life was, in the early part of the 20th Century.  All these shipwrecks are but a portal for us as wreck divers, to go back in time.  In many ways, these are museum pieces that we are fortunate, to get to view.
