Catalina Island is one of the most unique areas to dive in the United States.  What makes the island so interesting, is that it not only has beautiful walls to dive along, but also, giant kelp forests that rise up from the bottom of 25 to 65 ft to the surface.  These kelp forest have many exciting species of wild life to explore.  The plethora of marine life that you will find there are incredible.  There are garibaldi, kelp fish, yellow tail snapper, eels, halibut, guitar fish, shovel nose, abalone, lobster, sea crab, leopard sharks, and sea lions.  Also the kelp forests are the havens to bat rays, mantis shrimp, and octopus.  Some of the dive sites that we will explore are Casino Point Dive Park, Bird Rock, Long Point, Ship Rock, Blue Caverns, Lover’s Cove, Farnsworth Banks, Yellow Tail Point, and Sea Fan Grotto.
